Some strategies in Content Marketing that work really well but I don’t see it happening 80% of the time.
π Create Goliath content: Instead of focusing on small-scale content, create long-form content with a complete, in-depth analysis, like 20,000-word articles.
π Promote your content: Shotgun promotion is outdated; instead, boost your content on Facebook, share on relevant forums, and reach out to bloggers who would appreciate your content via email.
π Sell your own products: Many SEOs boast about their conversion-boosting middle-of-the-funnel content, but fail to include ads or calls-to-action in their top-of-the-funnel content, which is a missed opportunity.
π Create interesting content: Don’t rely solely on keywords. Offer unique views, angles, and data that people wouldn’t necessarily search for.
π Create bodies of work: Instead of writing one 1000-word blog post, create 50 blog posts on a single subject, link them together, and present them on a single page, like a knowledge hub.
π Include quotes, facts, and stats: Bloggers need resources to add to their content, so provide them with valuable content that they can link to.
π Use videos: Incorporate relevant videos into your content to make it more engaging and entertaining.
π Do thorough research: Real research takes effort, but it makes your posts worth reading, ranking, and linking to.
π Use longtail for weak sites and low budgets: If you have a client with limited resources and few links, use longtail keywords to generate some traffic and show that SEO works.
π Build relationships with local bloggers: Local bloggers can give you a relevant, local link that can benefit your business. Make a list of local bloggers and treat them like your best buddies.
π Create maps: Create a useful map, like the best street food vendors in London or the best Instagram photo locations in your town, to generate traction.
